Farmer’s Market Run

August 7, 2014

One of my favorite things to do is go to the Farmers Market. Any kind, any place. I enjoy walking around, meeting the vendors, and connecting with people of the community. Each place I travel I often look to see if they have a Farmers Market and if they do I’m hoping it isn’t only on the weekend! Granted, most are only open for Saturday and Sunday but I get lucky every now and again. Before my meeting this morning in downtown Nashville I had a few minutes to run to our local Nashville Farmers Market. Pure bliss! Being that it is later in the summer months, a lot of vendors have packed up shop and will return next year but luckily my all time favorite stand to visit, Mr Smiley’s Farms, is always up and running! He has the best produce and it is always in tip top condition! In my opinion it is the best tasting produce around too! Another favorite stand of mine that is relatively new is The Peach Truck. They have partnered with a few favorite places of mine, Jenis Ice Cream and Edleys BBQ. I can’t tell y’all how awesome their peaches are you’ll just have to try them for yourself! I got a few great things I wanted to share with y’all and I hope it inspires you to try some local produce for yourself! The nutrition benefits from eating local are great too, especially honey! I hope y’all enjoy these photos I took today and until next time shop and eat LOCAL!

Peaches from The Peach Truck! Follow them on Instagram @thepeachtruck for lots of neat photos and local collaborations!

Here are my vegetables from Smiley’s Farms here in Nashville. Squash, tomatoes, eggplant, and bell peppers! Mint from my personal garden.

One last photo of everyone joined together! Cant wait to share with y’all what I made with all of my treats from the farmers market today!
Until Next Time y’all! xoxo
