four areas of focus for 2018

Hey guys!! I wanted to take a minute to say thank you to each and every one of you who have reached out to me with your words of encouragement and prayers. Not a single message has gone unnoticed even if I haven’t had a chance to respond to you yet.

With that said I cannot believe we have completed a six week Bible study of the book Uninvited and are going on week two of The Armor of God. You do not know how much it blesses me every day to be able to do this devotional with you all. Truly it has been a gift and a blessing to be able to share my life experiences with you. I do hope that you have been blessed as well.

Life has a funny way of working out you know? Eight weeks ago I never thought I would be where I am now. But I will save all of those details for a life update post when Im ready to share where I am at now (completely). With that said I want to share with you what my content will focus on for 2018. Yes it has changed. My life has changed. I have changed. But I do hope that with these changes it brings growth to myself and also to you all. I hope that through all of this we can grow together to chase after the most important love story we could ever have with God. I have taken a lot of time and prayer to decide which topics to discuss in 2018 and I think I have it figured out. We will see how it goes. But I do know that these four areas of my life are what I am most passionate about right now and plan to be for a lifetime.

Lets not get confused. I am still the makeup loving, hair fixing, shopping queen I have always been. I just have different priorities now. I don’t view those things as what is most important in life. I dont NEED those things. They only enhance who I am now. With that said I will still be sharing my latest and greatest finds with you all they may just be more spread out than before (Im trying to not shop everyday ok? lol).

So lets get into what four areas I want to focus on for 2018.

  • My relationship with God. I listed these in order of importance to me. First and foremost I will be making an effort to put Him first. I have areas of growth within this relationship that I want to work on and that is what we will be discussing each week here on my blog so be sure to sign up in the sidebar to get updates when I post something new (just add your email).
  • My health. This is something that I haven’t really thought about much until now. Our bodies are temples. We are called by God to treat them as so. So therefore I will be changing many things when it comes to taking care of myself.
  • My fitness routine. Now I can see my friends reading this and laughing because anyone that knows me knows that I DO NOT WORK OUT. I hate it. It doesnt bring me ANY joy whatsoever. But I am going to make it a priority so that I can better serve myself and others. Again our bodies are temples and I intend on creating a temple of sustainability that will last.
  • My beauty routine. You might be thinking how is this biblical? How is makeup and hair and taking care of your appearance spiritual? Well we are going to figure that out together. But my idea behind this is that the more I feel better about myself (within a healthy reason) I can serve others and  His Kingdom to the best of my ability. Looking good and feeling good are very important to our morale. Now we dont need to be crazy with it but I think it would be nice to address issues we all have (or at least most of us) so that we can feel better about ourselves.

Now these areas are just my own that I want to focus on and better for myself. You may be at a different place with some of these things than I am and thats ok. We all have a different journey and are on different paths but I think I am at a place where I can create a community of women who are confident, secure, and Christ like and give them a safe place to share their issues and come to for advice and support. I hope that you will follow along on this journey with me and reach out to me if you need a friend. My door is always open and know that you can come to me with whatever issue you need to work on and we will figure it out together. Because we truly are in this together. Through Him we can do anything and be anything we just have to rely on His word and prayer to get us there.

I hope you are excited and find a new motivation like I have to set new standards for your life. It is very empowering to become a better you. It takes work and determination but I am confident that with Him we can do anything!!
